My Experience at Inter&Co

Working at Inter&Co, a digital bank known for its cutting-edge technologies and innovative approach, has been an incredibly rewarding experience. My role as a software engineer intern involves developing robust microservices and APIs using Java, the language behind the core backend systems. I’m focused on ensuring these services are scalable, efficient, and secure to handle a variety of financial operations for a global customer base. We are also in constant interaction with real time analytics for a huge amount of data, using New Relic and recently also OpenTelemetry.

Building with Java and ReactJS

On the backend, I primarily use Java (Micronaut framework) to build microservices that are responsible for everything, from transaction processing to customer management. These microservices are designed to be easily deployable and resilient, allowing us to quickly iterate and scale as demand grows.

For the frontend, I work mostly in an internal app that we have implemented a micro frontend architecture using ReactJS and Module Fededation. This modular approach enables us to break down the frontend into smaller, manageable components that can be developed and deployed independently. It enhances flexibility and allows different teams to work on specific features without disrupting the overall system.
